Decorum was formed in 2017 by five mixed media artists based in the Northwest of England.

After the initial success of their first two exhibitions they soon expanded with two new members joining in 2022.

Each artist works with a mix of diverse materials and techniques including textiles, ceramics, print and painting.

In 2019 Decorum were invited to exhibit at Gawthorpe Hall in Burnley using the wonderful Rachel Kay Shuttleworth Textile Collection as inspiration to create a body of new work. The exhibition ‘Exspiravit’ opened in the summer of 2022 before touring to Farfield Mill in Sedbergh, Cumbria.
